Was DC Gujranwala transfered on directives of first lady Bushra Maneka?

GUJRANWALA – The deputy commissioner of Punjab’s city Gujranwala was transferred on the directives of Bushra Maneka, Daily Pakistan has reported.

According to a report by Channel 24, Shoaib Tariq was abruptly transferred on Friday and was asked to leave the charge in a surprise shuffle, however, Bushra Maneka played a pivotal role in the matter.

The report outlines that Tariq had sent a notice of demolition of a petrol pump tucked on GT Road during the anti-encroachment drive.

The fuel station is owned by an influential politician who reached out to the first lady and got the civil servant transferred.

Shoaib Tariq initially resisted to leave the charge, however, shocking revelations suggest that Bushara Maneka was approached by the daughter-in-law of Chaudhry Iqbal following which the officer was transferred.

The Deputy Commissioner was asked to report to the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) after the intervention.

Reportedly, Farah – who happens to be the daughter-in-law of Ch Iqbal Gujjar – approached Bushra Maneka and got the anti-encroachment drive suspended as well.
