Power generation units of Tarbela shut down

HARIPUR: (APP) Owing to decrease in water inflow on Saturday power generation level of Tarbela Dam has reached 1,640 Megawatts as five hydro power generation units of Tarbela Dam have been shut down.
Tarbela Dam officials also disclosed that decrease in water inflow in the dam which is 23,100 cusec feet and outflow is 65,000 cusec feet, they have shut down 5 units and power generation has lowered to 1,640 MW. Remaining units are not working at their full capacity either.
According to the Tarbela Dam officials, water level is only 1478.88 feet and where water storage level of Tarbela Dam has also been decreased.
