Govt introducing MTI Act to ensure standards in hospitals: Dr Yasmin

Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has said that the provincial government is introducing Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Act to ensure the standards in hospitals.
Talking to Radio Pakistan’s News and Current Affairs Channel on Saturday, she said the government will make these independent.
She said that over 10500 doctors have been recruited to meet the shortage of staff after PTI came into power.
The Minister categorically said that the public hospitals will not be privatized and their performance will be enhanced through reforms.
