PM Nawaz lays foundation of Pak-China Optical fiber cable project

GILGIT: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has laid foundation stone of Pak-China optical fiber cable project that would be completed within two years.
As per details, the project would be completed with the cost of Rs. 4.40 billion and this project would further strengthen the ties of both countries.
Special Communication Organization would lay 820 km long cable from Rawalpindi to Khanjrab that would provide an alternative communication route between Pakistan and China after the completion of this project. 3G and 4G facility would also be available in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Before groundbreaking of the project, State Minister Anusha Reham said that this project has a lot of importance in the history of Pakistan while white traffic service have been started on the directives of premier. Information Technology has basic and key importance in the economic growth.
