ISLAMABAD: (APP) Justice Athar Minallah confirmed as permanent High Court Judge
The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on Wednesday recommended the name of additional judge of Islamabad High Court Justice Athar Minallah for his confirmation as judge of the High Court.
The Commission met here under the Chairmanship of Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali in the Supreme Court building. Two senior judges of the Supreme Court, Federal Law Minister, Attorney General for Pakistan and other members of the commission attended the meeting.
Justice Athar Minallah was appointed as an Additional Judge of the Islamabad High Court in 2014. The Commission granted one year extension for Justice Minallah in 2015.
Recommendations of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan would be forwarded to the Parliamentary Committee on judges' appointment for approval.
