Federal govt extends Karachi Green Line Metro Project route

KARACHI: Federal government has given approval to extend the route of Karachi Green Line Metro Bus project here at today while all the expenses would be born by federal government.
As per details, federal government has decided to extend the route of mega transit project in order to provide best travelling facilities to citizens of Karachi.
Firstly, route was designed from MA Jinnah Road to Tower but now route has been changed and Business Road, Pakistan Chowk and Sindh Secretariat have also been included in the route.
Engineers have also approved design and extending route of Green Line Metro Project.
Moreover, a new clock tower would be constructed here at Board Office Chorangi demolishing old clock tower. Buses and Stops would also be increased after extension in route.
9% increase is being expected in the cost of Green Line Metro Bus project that had been estimated of Rs. 16 billion for completion of this project.
It is also worthy to mention here that Green Line Metro project was approved from Sarjani Town to Grumandar while PM Nawaz announced to extend the route from Grumandar to Tower but now this project route has been extended again.
