QUETTA, May 19 (APP): Another effort by PCB of reviving international Cricket in Pakistan

 

Chairman, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Sheharyar Khan on Thursday said that as law and order situation in Quetta has improved it was considering to invite Afghanistan cricket team to revive international cricket here.

 

The Chairman PCB, along with Secretary General Quetta Region, Noman Mashkoor and PCB Coordinator, Abdul Qayyum, was addressing a press  conference at Bugti Cricket Stadium Quetta.

 

Sheharyar said that Afghanistan has shown consent to send their cricket team to Pakistan. "We are considering to arrange matches here to provide locals an oppurtunity to watch international cricket".

 

PCB would also establish a Cricket Academy in Quetta and Peshawar to hunt talented cricketers, he said.

 

He also urged baloch youth to get education to become better players.

 

"A cricketer must be educated as it is need of the hour," he remarked.

 

The Chairman said the Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai and Chief Minister Balochistan, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri had been requested to construct new cricket stadiums in Quetta and other cities of the province.
