Earth Hour being observed across Pakistan today

ISLAMABAD: Earth Hour is being observed today all over the world including Pakistan. Seminars and ceremonies are being held in all the four provinces to sensitise the people about the importance of earth and its natural resources.
As per details, the City District Government Lahore is observing Earth Hour in collaboration with WWF-Pakistan.
People will express their solidarity with the Mother Earth by switching off extra or unnecessary lights from 8:30 to 9:30. The main event of Earth Hour is going to be held at Qarshi University where different performances will be demonstrated by youngsters to create awareness among the people in this regard.
The major buildings where Earth Hour activities are going to be held includes Punjab Assembly, Badshahi Masjid, Allama Iqbal International Airport, GPO and others.
NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq said in his message that we are facing different environmental issues in a recent few years so people need to become part of the steps being taken by government to protect the earth from pollution.
