Pakistan's first e-court starts working

TAXILA: The first e-court in the district of Attock started working in Hassanabdal on Saturday.
District and Sessions Judge Sohail Nasir initiated the proceedings at the court complex through a video link.
Addressing a ceremony on the occasion, the judge said the purpose of the e-court was to provide relief to the citizens.
He termed it a modern form of judicial system which would help in ensuring speedy justice and speedy disposal of cases.
He said the e-court would also facilitate the elderly people while those living abroad would be able to record their statements through the video link.
