JCP recommends appointments of additional judges in PHC,BHC

ISLAMABAD: (APP) The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on Monday recommended appointment of two additional judges for the Peshawar High Court (PHC) and three additional judges for Balochistan High Court (BHC).
The commission met here under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali.
According to sources, the commission earlier considered five names for PHC and four names for BHC to appoint additional judges.
Later, the JCP recommended the names of Advocate Ibrahim Khan and Ishtiaq Khan for additional judges of PHC while for the BHC it recommended names of Abdullah Baloch, Zaheer ud Din Kakar and Syed Anwar Aftab.
The Judicial Commission had referred recommendations to the Parliamentary Committee for appointment of judges in higher courts.
