PML-N top leaders dispute worsens

ISLAMABAD - The dispute between two central leaders of ruling party PML-N Chaudhary Nisar and Pervez Rashid has been further intensified as the supporters of the former interior minister Ch Nisar have come out on roads and held protest against the later at Rawalpindi press club on Friday.

The verbal onslaught between two party high ups have been damaging he party credibility as both did not stop from releasing statement against each other that left the space for opposition to use the situation for next election.

After exchange of harsh statements now their fight appeared on roads as the supports of Ch Nisar have held protest rally outside the Rawalpindi press club headed by member Punjab assembly Sarfraz Afzal and various chairmen of different union councils of his constituency.

The protesters chanted slogans against the Pervez Rahid and in favour of Nisar alleging that Pervez Rashid attempted character assassination of Ch Nisar.

They said Ch Nisar was among the founder members of the party and Pervez Rashid should not hurled derogatory statements against him.

On January 15, the disgruntle ruling party PML-N leader and former interior minister Chaudhary Nisar strongly diatribe on party leader and former information minister Pervez Rasheed and warned him if the Dawn Leaks report surfaced he would be exposed.

“A person, apparently Pervez Rasheed, who had never been contested even councilor election has become the party mind as release of Dawn Leaks report will expose his real face and what wrongdoing he was done in past,” former interior minister said in his reaction over the Rasheed’s interview to a private TV.

He demanded to PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Nawaz Sharif for order of Dawn Leaks report release. He sets aside the allegation leveled by Pervez Rashid in his interview to private television and said he didn’t consider to reply what he said the ridiculous statement of former information minister.

Former information minister Pervez Rasheed said on Monday that if former interior minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz senior leader Chaudhry Nisar is as disciplined as he says then he should leave the party.
