1st phase of Green Line Bus Rapid Transit System project to complete in May

In Karachi, federally-funded Green Line Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) project’s first phase is expected to be completed by May this year and Green Line Bus Service will be functional from Surjani town to Gru-Mandir.
Our Karachi representative Muhammad Waqas reports that the construction work of first phase is in its final stage and now construction of bus stations is underway.
The Chief Executive of Karachi infrastructure Development Company Limited Muhammad Saleh Farooqui said that Federal and provincial governments are fully cooperating in this regard.
He said one of the key components of Green Line BRTS is the construction of State of the Art bus depot at Surjani town area near Abdullah Chowarngi.
Talking to Radio Pakistan Karachi correspondent General Manager of Green Line Bus Project Zubair Ahmad Channa said that major infrastructure work from Surjani to Gru-Mandir has been completed.
He said an underground bus station is also being constructed at Numaish Chorangi.APP
