PM Imran Khan sends congratulatory message to CM Punjab Usman Buzdar

ISLAMABAD - Joint candidate of PTI-PML(Q) coalition, Usman Ahmad Buzdaar has been elected new Chief Minister of Punjab.
He secured 186 votes while his rival Hamza Shahbaz Sharif of PML-N got 159 votes.
The electoral process was held at Punjab Assembly in Lahore on Sunday, on the basis of Division of House.
Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi chaired the session.
A total of three hundred forty five members took part in today's electoral process.
After announcing the election result, Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and members of PTI and PML(Q) felicitated the newly elected Chief Minister.
Newly elected Punjab Chief Minister, Usman Ahmad Buzdaar has thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for reposing confidence in him for the Chief Minister's responsibility.
Addressing the House during the Punjab Assembly session today after his election, Usman Buzdar said his government will implement Imran Khan's vision for progress of country.
He said that he belongs to a backward area of province and his government will work for the progress of backward areas.
Later, the session was prorogued. Newly elected Chief Minister Usman Ahmad Buzdaar will take oath in a ceremony, to be held at Governor's House tomorrow.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has congratulated newly elected Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
Imran Khan also congratulated parliamentary party and PTI's allies and said that new era has started in Punjab.
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani has also congratulated new Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
In his facilitation message today, Sadiq Sanjrani said newly elected CM will play his role to overcome deprivations of backward areas.
