LAHORE: (APP) Under CPEC, Pakistan and China had proposed 29 industrial parks and 21 mineral zones across the country, which would enable Pakistan to increase its production.
The media and academics should play a positive and active role in highlighting the significance of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for Pakistan and to reject misleading propaganda against it.
Shah Faisal Afridi, president, Pak-China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI), said this in a statement here on Friday.
He said that CPEC could be a fate-changer. "China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is a centre of attention for the people, but unfortunately the enemies do not want to see it successful," he added.
Afridi said Pakistan is handling the security challenges not only at home but also playing its role for regional stability.
Faisal Afridi said that the authorities concerned have raised a special security division for CPEC. Its security would always remain a top priority of the country, he added.
He pointed out that Pakistan has given a strong message tothe enemy that the country is determined to implement each and every project under the umbrella of CPEC and would tackle all challenges in this regard.
Afridi was confident that personnel of the security division were vigilant enough to thwart designs of the enemies.
