Diplomatic immunity doesn’t allow killing someone, IHC says

ISLAMABAD:The Islamabad High Court has observed that diplomatic immunity does not permit killing someone.
IHC Justice Aamer Farooq gave the remarks today (Wednesday) while hearing a petition seeking the placement of a US diplomat on the Exit Control List, who fatally ran over a young man in Islamabad earlier this month.
The diplomat was let go by police after registration of a case.
The judge remarked that the police, in this case, failed to follow procedure.
The hearing has been adjourned to Tuesday next.
