ISLAMABAD – Advisor to Prime Minister on Climate Change, Malik Amin Aslamhas said the government is planning to extend ban on use of plastic bags toother cities of the country.
He was addressing concluding session of a two-day consultation onSanitation Market Shaping to review the recommendations of the recentlyconducted Sanitation Market Assessment study in South Asia.
The Advisor said we have been looking at sanitation issue from a lens ofcrisis but the correct lens is of opportunity.
He said waste management should be treated as a business model instead of acrisis.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj GulWazir said engagement with private sector is vital for the success of CleanGreen Pakistan Movement.
She said Clean Green Pakistan movement is serving as a pre-cursor to theupcoming demand for sanitation.
