ISLAMABAD – In northwest Syria, three civilians were killed and twelveothers injured as a result of Syrian government’s airstrikes on a Turkishmilitary convoy.
The air strikes hit near the convoy that was approaching frontlines inIdlib province.
Turkey’s Defense Ministry said in a statement in Ankara that the militaryconvoy was attacked en route to one of its observation posts in thenorthwest.
It said the attack violated Ankara’s agreements with Moscow, which had beeninformed in advance about the convoy.
Earlier, a series of truces brokered via Russian-Turkish talks have failedto end the fighting in Idlib.
Meanwhile, the United Nations said the escalation has killed at least 500civilians and uprooted hundreds of thousands, many stranded near theTurkish border.
