In the national history, the Supreme Court's proceedings are being broadcast directly for the first time. In the Supreme Court, under the leadership of Chief Justice Pakistan, Justice Faiz Isa, hearings are taking place on petitions against the Supreme Court Practices and Procedure Act.
Chief Justice Justice Faiz Isa is presiding over the full court on the first day, which consists of 15 judges of the Supreme Court. The full bench of the Supreme Court, comprising 8 members, had previously suspended the implementation of the Practices and Procedure Act on April 13th.
The Practices and Procedure Act pertains to the division of powers regarding the Chief Justice's authority in public interest cases. According to the Practices and Procedure Act, the decision to take suo motu notice can be made by a committee consisting of the Chief Justice and two senior judges.
