ISLAMABAD - Over the deadlock in UN Mission extension in Afghanistan, Important developments reported from UN Security Council.
The United Nations Security Council has extended mandate of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan for one year.
According to media reports, it tasks UNAMA to provide outreach as well as good offices to support Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process.
The mission will support the organization of Afghan elections, including the presidential poll scheduled on 28th instant.
