Maryam Nawaz tries to mock NAB authorities in jokes cracking attitude

ISLAMABAD - Maryam Nawaz tries to mock NAB authorities in jokes cracking attitude outside the Accountability Court.

Maryam Nawaz said on Wednesday that in the past 42 days, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has not asked her a single question related to corruption of a single rupee in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM) case.

The PML-N leader appeared before an accountability court as her physical remand ends today. During the hearing, NAB requested for a 15 day extension. However, the accountability court extended her remand for seven days. During the hearing, Nawaz told the court that NAB arrested her for political reasons as she was holding rallies.

Speaking to the media outside the court, the PML-N leader said the bureau keeps asking her why her grandfather transferred his business to her. She further said that she has several times told them that a person would transfer shares of his property to his own children, not his neighbours.

While speaking about eating food provided by the jail, the party vice-president said that if NAB thinks she will make any requests, they are mistaken. On August 8, the accountability watchdog arrested Maryam in the CSM case and has been remanded into its custody since then.
