Economic Coordination Committee of Cabinet takes important decisions

ISLAMABAD - The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has decided to continue ban on export of wheat flour to ensure adequate supplies in winter season.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Committee with Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in the chair in Islamabad today.

The committee also approved separate proposals for payment of over 1.5 billion Rupees subsidy charges to the executing agencies of the Prime Minister's Youth Business Loan Scheme and transfer of 2 billion Rupees funds from the Cabinet Division to the Planning, Development and Reform Division as a technical supplementary grant.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet Committee on Privatization has approved inclusion of State Life Insurance Corporation, Islamabad Electric Supply Company and part of Lahore Electronic in Active List of Privatization Programme.

These decisions were taken during the meeting of the committee with Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Abdul Hafeez Shaikh in the chair in Islamabad today.
