Top Pakistani journalist comes under NAB radar over alleged corruption scandal

LAHORE - Senior journalist Salman Ghani comes under NAB Radar in 56 Punjab Companies corruption scandal, as one of the accused.
The investigation into the scam was launched in the direction of Chief Justice Supreme Court Saqib Nisar who took notice of massive financial irregularities and then directed NAB to investigate and identify the accused, Pakistan today has reported.
Lahore based journalist Salman Ghani was a director of Lahore Parking Company (LTC) Limited Board which is held responsible for the irregularities committed in the company.
The board of directors (BOD) of the company comprised journalist Salman Ghani, Colonel Mubashar, Abdullah Sumbal, Dr Saif. Khawaja Haider, MPA Nasrin, Chief Traffic Officer Rai Ijaz and MPA Kiran Dar and the company executive officer was former Deputy Commissioner Narowal Qalab Abbasi and others.
According to details, Shahbaz Sharif-led Punjab government formed LTC to upgrade 168 parking sites in the city to facilitate the public, but the officers inducted in the company allegedly indulged in corrupt practices and the misappropriated the funds.
