Pakistan conducted a successful flight test of the Ababeel Weapon System on Wednesday, according to a statement from the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). The test flight's primary objective was to re-validate various design, technical parameters, and performance evaluations of the weapon system's various sub-systems.
The ISPR's statement highlighted that the Ababeel Weapon System is intended to bolster deterrence capabilities and enhance strategic stability in the region. This is achieved through the operationalization of Full Spectrum Deterrence within the broader framework of Credible Minimum Deterrence.
The launch of the system was witnessed by prominent figures, including General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division and Strategic Forces Command, as well as scientists and engineers from strategic organizations.
General Mirza commended the technical prowess, dedication, and commitment of all individuals involved in the successful test. Additionally, President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, and Services Chiefs extended their congratulations to all members of the strategic forces for this significant achievement.
