Govt to take provinces on board for national climate policy implementation: Amin Aslam

Advisor to the Prime Minister on climate change Malik Amin Aslam Khan has said that all the provinces will be taken on board to ensure effective implementation of national climate change policy.
Chairing the 6th meeting of National climate change policy implementation committee in Islamabad, he said environment is a key priority agenda of the government and it is in the process of implementation now.
He said that precautionary measures are being taken to counter the imminent SMOG issue, including setting up of special units in the main hospitals of Punjab to treat smog affected people.
He asked the provinces to prepare alternative energy projects and send to the Ministry at the earliest.
