Capital administration devising strategy for Imran Khan’s arrest

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police and City Administration sat down to devise strategy after Islamabad police has on Tuesday received the non-bailable arrest warrants of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in the contempt of court case.

 

The warrants were received by Islamabad Inspector General of Police. The IGP forwarded the warrants to SSP Operations Islamabad for necessary action.

 

Islamabad Chief Commissioner summoned Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Deputy Commissioner and other high officials for consultation after police received non-bailable arrest warrants of PTI chairman Imran Khan issued by the ECP in contempt of court case.

 

Sources said that police suggested to arrest the PTI chairman as soon as he leaves for the ECP to appear before the tribunal but the police high-up’s could not devise a strategy.
