PML N Ahsan Iqbal lands in hot waters

Islamabad: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed a reference against Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal in Narowal Sports City Complex case.
According to details, it has been stated in the reference that PML-N leader misused his authority and had spent the funds of federal government on a provincial project.
Former Director-General (DG) Sports Akhtar Nawaz, Officer of Ministry of Planning Asif Shaikh, Sarfraz Rasool and Muhammad Ahmed are also named among accused.
On December 23, 2019, PML-N's Ahsan Iqbal was arrested by NAB in Narowal Sports City Complex case.
Iqbal has been accused of illegally initiating the project of Rs3 billion in Narowal and causing a loss of billions of rupees to the national exchequer.
Furthermore, it has been revealed that in the construction of the Sports City, the Pakistan Sports Board has exceeded from its authority.
