Balochistan IGP inaugurates Safe City Project in Chaman

QUETTA: Balochistan Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohsin Hassan Butt inaugurated Safe City Project at Pak-Afghan border side in Chaman area of Killa Abdullah district on Saturday.
IGP Mohsin Hassan Butt, DIG Police and senior police officials were got briefed by District Police Officer (DPO) Syed AttaUllah Shah regarding Safe City Project, security measures at border side of Pak-Afghanistan in Chaman area and related issues of police in detail.
Later, the IGP along with other police officers inaugurated a control of 36 CCTV installed cameras under Safe City Project which has been set up in Police Station of Chaman City.
Talking to media, the IG said Chaman City and other main areas including National Highways would be monitored which could be helped to curb terrorism activities and other crimes including robberies from the area.
He said the security forces including police were playing vital role for restoring peace in respective areas of province, despite they had given sacrifices of their precious lives in war against terrorism in the area.
The IG said all legal issues of police personnel would be addressed on top priority basis for ensuring their better performance.
Tribal elders also met with IGP Balochistan on the occasion.
