'Target of planting 540m saplings in AJK set under Billion Tree Project'

Prime Minister Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan says target of planting 540 million saplings in the state has been set under Billion Tree Project.
He was talking to newsmen after attending a high level meeting in Islamabad chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He said PC-I worth 20 billion rupees have been prepared to achieve the target of tree plantation in Azad Kashmir.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by AJK government for environmental issues.
The Prime Minister Azad Kashmir said Imran Khan expressed deep concern on the environmental issues caused by hydropower projects in the state and directed all the departments to address the issue immediately.
He said Imran Khan also directed for implementation of environment study on mega hydropower projects.
