IED blast targets gas pipeline in Karachi

KARACHI – A blast has been reported in the Manghopir area of Karachi targeting the gas pipeline supplying gas to the parts of the metropolitan city.
A part of the 16-inch diameter pipeline has blown up in Manghopir area of Karachi halting supply to different parts of the city.
According to the initial reports, the pipeline was targeted by an IED device prompting the authorities to call the experts of bomb disposal squad.
The blast has caused serious damage to the pipelines which halted supply to different parts of the city including Banaras and Manghopir. However, no injury or death has been reported.
