Corps Commander Peshawar addresses grand jirga in Tirah for 100,000 rehabilitated persons

RAWALPINDI - A grand Jirga was held in Tirah to welcome the families who are returning back to their homes after a decade. Approximately 100,000 persons from 15,691 families will be rehabilitated during this process.
Addressing the Jirga, Commander Peshawar Corps Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid lauded the sacrifices rendered by tribesmen in achieving peace in the area and assured that Pakistan Army will provide all possible assistance to the rehabilitating families.
The Malaks and Mashrans thanked the Pakistan Army for restoration of peace in the area and ongoing efforts for socio-economic development in Tribal District. They also assured for their unflinching support to security forces.
Representatives from civil administration were also present in the Jirga.
