Dr Aamir Liaquat to join PTI: Imran Ismail

KARACHI: PTI leader Imran Ismail on Saturday claimed that famous television personality Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain has decided to join Imran Khan-led party.
Talking to Samaa, Imran Ismail said the TV anchor will formally announce his joining at a press conference with PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Monday.
“People of Karachi like Dr Aamir Liaquat and there is a consensus within the party over his inclusion,” said Imran Ismail.
In October last year, Imran Ismail made a similar claim that Aamir Liaquat, who is a former leader of MQM, would join PTI, but the plan could not be materialized, reportedly owning to the opposition of some PTI leaders.
Aamir Liaquat, 46, came into politics in 2002 and has served as Federal Minister for Religious Affairs. He parted ways with MQM in 2017.
