Legendry Pacer Wasim Akram has a big advice for Pakistan Cricket

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's Legendry Pacer Wasim Akram has a big advice for Pakistan cricket.

Wasim Akram erupted at Pakistan national team over their defeat against arch rivals India at the ICC World Cup blockbuster, saying that ‘enough is enough’ as Pakistan should concentrate on improving their domestic cricket structure.

“At the moment, the Pakistan player’s mindset is ‘so what if I don’t play for Pakistan, I can play in T20 Leagues’. But NOCs should only be given by PCB to players who have been playing first-class cricket,” said Akram.

The former captain further said that the performance in first-class cricket should be the criteria for selection in Pakistan Super League (PSL). “Enough is enough, only pick players in the PSL who have performed well in first-class cricket,” he added.

“For the past 10 years, first-class cricket is in shambles so we would need to do very serious thinking, as it is the game we love and are passionate about, but something is wrong somewhere,” added Akram.

Rohit Sharma scored his second hundred in three innings allowing India to maintain their unbeaten record against Pakistan at the World Cup with an 89-run win under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method on Sunday.
