SBP credit guarantee scheme for women entrepreneurs launched in 14 cities across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - State Bank of Pakistan has extended its credit guarantee scheme to fourteen more cities of the country to enable women entrepreneurs of these areas obtain loans on softer terms.
Chief Manager of SBP, Bahawalpur said, "SBP has expanded the scheme to fourteen more districts including Multan, Rahimyar Khan, Khanewal, Dera Ghazi Khan, Jhang, Bahawalpur, Vehari, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar, Sukkur, Hyderabad, Ghotki and Peshawar."
He expressed the hope that due to this scheme, now women entrepreneurs will be able to obtain loans on mark up as low as five percent and that too on a single guarantee.
