The United States says it has removed Turkey from F-35 fighter jet programme following Ankara began accepting delivery of Russian S-400 air defence missile system.
The undersecretary of defence for acquisition and sustainment at the Pentagon, Ellen Lord said in a statement that the US and other F-35 partners are aligned in this decision to suspend Turkey from the programme.
Turkish Foreign ministry has termed the move as unfair which could affect relations between the two countries.
