CTD arrests four terrorists of banned outfit from Punjab planning to target political leaders

MULTAN – Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Tuesday thwarted a terror bid and arrested four terrorists of banned organization during an operation in Multan.
According to details, CTD personnel conducted an operation on intelligence reports near Bypass Road and arrested four terrorists indentified as Abdus Salam, Loaquat, Wajid Ullah and Muhammad Ahmed.
CTD spokesperson informed media that the arrested terrorists were planning to target political figures in Multan ahead of elections.
The CTD personnel also recovered five hand grenades, arms and maps of sensitive installations from them. The arrested terrorists were shifted to some undisclosed location for further investigation.
