FCR act to be repealed through FATA reforms: President

President Mamnoon Hussain says Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR) act will be repealed through the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) reforms.
Talking to tribal elders in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said FATA Reforms Committee has laid down significant proposals for extending jurisdiction of the Supreme Court and the High Court to tribal areas.
He told the gathering that the proposal report about the merger of FATA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has also been presented by the committee in the Parliament.
The President said health and education facilities will be increased for bringing FATA at par with other areas of the country.
He said tribal areas will witness an era of progress and prosperity.
