CPEC Optical fiber network in AJK, GB being laid by SCO

MIRPUR (AJK): (APP) Commanding Officer of the State-run Special Communications Organisation Mirpur Division, Lt Col Syed Ayaad Hussain Tuesday said that SCO has been assigned to lay down the network of optical fiber in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit/Baltistan for swift telecom service under the upcoming gigantic China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
Talking to various delegations of the city elite including lawyers here today, the Commanding officer said that the Special Communication Organization is providing latest telecommunication services to the consumers in far flung and hilly areas of AJK and Gilgit/Baltistan.
He said that since Government of Pakistan has assigned Special Communications Organisation to lay down the network of optical fiber in AJK and GB under the CPEC, this gesture on the part of the government is the acknowledgement of untiring and hard services of the SCO in the telecom sector in the two regions of AJK and GB, he added.
Lt Col Syed Ayad Hussain said that 3G service will be launched soon across Azad Jammu & Kashmir to facilitate the internet users with the swift service. All arrangements have been finalized in this regard.
He informed the delegation that the Internet's DSL system is being upgraded to ensure its more swift performance in Mirpur division.
