Pakistan and Iraq vow to enhance bilateral ties

Pakistan and Iraq have stressed the need for enhanced liaison between the two countries for visa facilitation and security co-operation.
This understanding came during the meeting between Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad and Ambassador of Iraq Hamid Abbas Lafta in Islamabad.
During the meeting, Pakistan-Iraq bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest came under discussion.
Provision of facilities for tourists especially ‘Ziareen’ were also discussed in the meeting.
Interior Minister said Pakistan would enhance travel facilities to the intending ‘Ziareen’ to Iraq.
The ambassador said that there was need of hour to further promote and strengthen the Pak-Iraq relations which were based on historic, brotherhood and mutual trust.
