Final round of Cholistan Desert Rally underway

Final round of four-day thirteenth Cholistan Desert Rally is in progress in Cholistan Desert.
Radio Pakistan Bahawalpur Correspondent Sajjad Parvez reports that one hundred and seventeen motor drivers, including three female and three foreigners, have participated in its different rounds of the rally.
The rally started at eight o clock in the morning today when first vehicle was flagged off and then after every four minutes motor racers drove their vehicles for covering about two hundred and forty kilometers long track in Cholistan Desert while touching the historic forts of Bijnot, Jam Garh in Bahawalnagar districts.
Prize distribution ceremony of the rally will be held tonight at the historic Derawer Fort followed by a cultural show and fireworks.APP/AFP
