Int'l Migrants Day being observed today

International Migrants Day is being observed on Monday (December 18), to enhance protection of refugees and migrants.
This year's theme for the day is "Safe Migration in a World on the Move."
In his message on the day, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for effective international cooperation in managing migration to ensure that human rights of all concerned are properly protected.
Meanwhile, UNICEF has called on countries to follow best practices to ensure safety and well-being of migrant children.
