BAP President Jam Kamal elected as Chief Minister Balochistan

*QUETTA: The Balochistan Assembly on Saturday elected Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) President Jam Kamal Khan as **new chief minister of the province.*
The election for the coveted slot was held in a session at the assembly building in Quetta.
Newly elected Speaker of the provincial legislature Mir Abdul Qaddus Bizenjo presided over the session during which the new chief minister was elected by the method of division of the house.
Jam Kamal received 39 votes while his rival JUI-F leader Mir Yunas Aziz Zehri managed to secure 20 votes.
The new chief minister would take the oath of his office at the Governor House in Quetta at 5 pm on Sunday.
