Youth Olympics: Pakistan announces hockey squad

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan has announced a nine-member Hockey squad along with four standbys for the Youth Olympics to be held in Bangkok, Thailand from 25 to 29 of this month.
The event of the Youth Olympics will be played on 5-a-side format.
Team members include: Awais Arshad (goalkeeper), Waqas Ahmed (captain), Ali Raza, Mohibullah (vice-captain), Murtaza Yaqoob, Junaid Rasool, Mohsin Khan, Zulqarnain and Hammad Anjum.
Standbys include: M. Abduallah, Abdur Rehman, Awais Amin, Abrar Ahmed.
The top two teams from the 11 teams competing at these qualifiers will represent Asia at the Youth Olympics scheduled in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 6 to 18 October. APP/AFP
