Kashmiri diaspora members hold anti-India demo in London

ISLAMABAD: Kashmiris hold protest demonstration at Parliament Squar in London on the sidelines of the on-going Commonwealth Summit to demand right to self-determination for Kashmiris, end to Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and seek justice for the rape and murder victim, eight-year-old Aasifa Bano of Kathua.
People from all walks of life including women and children participated in the protest demonstration. The protesters raised high-pitched slogans in favour of Kashmir’s freedom from India and against the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
Kashmiri diaspora leaders addressed the demonstration. Hurriyat leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi and Zamruda Habib also addressed the protesters over phone from Srinagar.
The speakers demanded right to self-determination for the Kashmiris, end to the Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and exemplary punishment for the tormentors of Aasifa.
A roadside roundtable was also organized on the occasion to highlight the Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir and different aspects of the Kashmir dispute.
Hurriyat leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi and Zamruda Habib telephonically addressed the conference from Srinagar.
The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi also listened to the speeches of the Hurriyat leaders inside the British Parliament.
