ECO emphasises on importance of regional connectivity

ISLAMABAD:Members of Economic Cooperation Organization have reinforced the importance of regional connectivity for regional development in order to transform ECO into a vibrant prosperous and progressive region.
In a communiqué issued at the end of 23rd meeting of Council of Ministers of the ECO in Dushanbe today, participants also renewed their commitment to promote regional economic integration among the ECO member states.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Sartaj Aziz said Pakistan being a founding member and Chairman of ECO will extend full support to the initiatives of the organization. APP/AFP
