Indian Army Curfew in Occupied Kashmir fuels food shortages in Valley

Shortage of food prevailed in the state as the curfew continued to the fifth consecutive day.
People are starving and have no access to the local market for food and medicine.
Some of the victims told media that their children are suffering from hunger and disease and things are not available to them due to strict curfew.
As per report, curfew was relaxed from 8-11 a.m. but again re-imposed after clashes between people and Indian troops.
Earlier, Indian troops killed 3 Kashmiris including a woman in acts of state terrorism during a protest against Indian Army for sexual harassment of a school girl.
Kashmiri people protested against the brutalities of Indian army and clashes erupted between both sides.
In wake of protests, Indian government sent 3,600 more Para Military Troops in Kashmir and killed two more Kashmiris.
Kashmir is a disputed area between India and Pakistan and they also fought wars on the issue.
More than 68,000 Kashmiris have been killed by Indian forces since the start of the uprising in 1989.
