Security Threat in Islamabad Red Zone

In Islamabad, an incident unfolded involving the discovery of a suspicious bag near the Secretariat police station. This bag, which raised concerns, was found to contain a troubling assortment of items, including hand grenades, a pistol, bullets, and a detailed map of the Red Zone buildings. The Islamabad police were quick to respond to this discovery.

The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) spokesperson has confirmed that specialized teams are currently conducting an inspection of the recovered arms and ammunition. Among the items retrieved from the bag are three hand grenades, two magazines, 50 bullets, and a pistol. This discovery has understandably heightened security concerns in the area.

Furthermore, in response to the situation, a map outlining the Red Zone buildings was also uncovered in the same vicinity. Given the potential risks associated with these findings, the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) has been called to the scene. At present, a clearance operation is actively underway to ensure the safety and security of the area.
