Maryam Nawaz summoned by Nawaz Sharif to London

Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), has called for his daughter Maryam Nawaz to come to London, according to ARY News. Maryam Nawaz, who serves as the PML-N Chief Organizer, is expected to travel to London next week in response to her father's summons.

Her stay in London is anticipated to last for a week, during which she will hold discussions with Nawaz Sharif. Sources from within the PML-N have informed ARY News that Maryam will brief her father about the party's plans regarding his return to Pakistan. Additionally, they will engage in consultations concerning political and constitutional matters.

It is reported that Nawaz Sharif will finalize the plan for his return to Pakistan after Maryam's visit. Following her return, the PML-N will formulate a plan for welcoming Nawaz Sharif back to Pakistan. Former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar previously stated that there are no obstacles preventing PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif from participating in elections. He mentioned that Article 62(1)(f), which reduced the disqualification period to five years, was passed by the parliament and approved by the president.

According to Dar, this approval now makes Nawaz Sharif and Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) leader Jahangir Tareen eligible to participate in elections. However, Dar refrained from commenting on PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, emphasizing the consensus-based decision-making during the 17-month tenure of the PDM coalition government.

Former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently announced Nawaz Sharif's scheduled return to Pakistan on October 21. He pledged a grand welcome for Nawaz Sharif upon his arrival and expressed determination that Nawaz Sharif would face the legal proceedings.

Shehbaz Sharif also criticized the circumstances surrounding Nawaz Sharif's removal from power and the alleged election rigging in the 2018 general elections, emphasizing the decision to have Nawaz Sharif lead the election campaign after consultations with senior party leadership.
