PIA flight faces bomb threat, delayed for hours

SUKKUR – Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight was delayed following a bomb threat on Monday.

The national flag carrier’s flight PK-595 en-route to Karachi from Sukkur was hit with delay due to the security check after a threat warning for a planted bomb was given by Sukkur Police to Airport Security Force (ASF).

Authorities immediately stopped the plane just before takeoff, and the passengers were disembarked and the luggage was offloaded as per standard operating procedure.

The aircraft and baggage were thoroughly checked by ASF and Bomb Disposal Squad and were later on cleared by the concerned security agencies.
