Diamer Bhasha Dam fund: Top 10 donors so far

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Army, as an organization, remains the highest contributor of donations made for the Daimer Bhasha and Mohmand Dams Fund so far. They’ve contributed Rs. 582 million, according to data updated by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Strategic Planning Directorate was the second highest contribution with the donation of Rs. 201 million to dams’ fund by end of September 13, 2018.
HBL under its HBL Islamic Charity donated an amount of Rs. 100 million. It was followed by Bahria Town and Qarshi Industries which submitted an amount of Rs. 67 million and Rs. 50 million respectively.
The top five contributors donated over Rs. 1 billion for the dams’ fund, which is nearly one-third of the total donation received through banking channels by end of September 13. The top ten donor organizations contributed an amount of Rs.1.156 billion in the period under review.

Pervaiz Bhatti is one of the most generous contributors to the dam fund so far with Rs. 50 million donated. Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, President of the Centaurus Group, donated an amount of Rs. 20 million. He was followed by Abdul Hanan Khan, Zeeshan Ahmed and Saqib Razzaq with an amount of Rs. 19 million, Rs. 15 million and Rs. 10 million respectively.
These individuals contributed an overall amount of Rs. 114.88 million. The overall donation made by top ten contributors stand at Rs. 143.65 million by the end of September 13, under the title of Top 10 Donors To PM & CJP Fund for Water Reservoir.
It is pertinent to mention here that the central bank has renamed it with Prime Minister and Chief Justice of Pakistan Fund For Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dam a week ago.
