Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf gets a strong snub from Wasim Akram

Pakistan legendary bowler Wasim Akram gave a strict lesson to Pakistani pacer Haris Rauf. He emphasizes that Haris Rauf's success cannot solely depend on bowling at high speeds to secure wickets. Instead, he underscores the importance of Rauf's strategic thinking and ability to induce mistakes from batsmen.
According to the Sultan of Swing, Haris Rauf should prioritize consistency and innovation in his bowling approach, highlighting that wickets will come when batsmen are enticed to go on the offensive.
Wasim Akram notes that he has not witnessed Rauf exhibit the ability to swing the ball and claim wickets in the same manner as Jasprit Bumrah did in a match against India. While Rauf possesses pace, Akram suggests that refining his length for one-day cricket is necessary for improvement.
However, the former Pakistan captain expresses satisfaction with Shaheen Afridi's performance in the World Cup thus far.
Akram acknowledges the challenges that Shaheen Afridi has faced, including a significant injury the previous year. Nevertheless, he commends Afridi's bowling, especially in the crucial match against India, where he secured two important wickets.
